Mandelieu-La Napoule est située face à la Méditerranée, à la Baie de Cannes et aux somptueuses Îles de Lérins. Les contreforts de l’Estérel qui poussent ses roches rouges si caractéristiques jusqu’aux criques du bord de mer, le Mont San Peyre qui surplombe le port de plaisance, les greens du Old Course à l’ombre des pins parasols centenaires et les deux châteaux donnent au littoral de Mandelieu-La Napoule tout son charme, promesse de calme et de sérénité.

Histoire

Dès la seconde partie du 18^ème siècle, les anglais, grands voyageurs, découvrent la Côte d’Azur et y font construire des villas. Pour orner leurs jardins, ils importent de nombreuses plantes et en particulier le mimosa d’Australie. Celui-ci s’acclimata si parfaitement que sa culture permit le développement de la ville par le commerce de la fleur coupée. Cette période bénie voit également naître en 1891 le premier golf de la Côte d’Azur, le «Old Course» grâce à Michael de Russie, neveu du tsar, ainsi qu’un champ de course aujourd’hui disparu. Tous deux accueilleront à l’époque toute l’aristocratie européenne. Dès le début du 19^ème siècle, deux châteaux de type moyenâgeux sont édifiés qui donnent aujourd’hui encore à La Napoule son caractère si particulier.

La Fête du Mimosa

Mandelieu-La Napoule vit au rythme de la floraison du Mimosa, éperdument amoureuse de ces grappes jaunes. Tous les hivers, au mois de Janvier/Février, la nature se réveille pour offrir un paysage aux odeurs envoûtantes. Comme un «pied de nez» à l’hiver, les collines et les jardins s’illuminent d’or et diffusent un parfum inoubliable lorsque le mimosa est en fleur. Cette période de floraison symbole du «soleil en hiver» est célébrée chaque année depuis 1931 au mois de Février, empreinte de tradition et de folklore local, qui réchauffe les yeux et le coeur : “La Fête du Mimosa”.

Background

From the second part of the 18^th century, English, big travellers, discover Côte d'Azur and build there their villas. To decorate their garden, they import numerous plants and in particular the mimosa of Australia. It acclimatised itself so perfectly that its culture allowed the development of the city by the business of the cut flower. During this blessed period was built in 1891 the first golf of Côte d'Azur, the «Old Course» thanks to Michael of Russia, nephew of the Tzar, as well as a race track today disappeared. Both welcomed all the European aristocracy. At the beginning of the 19^th century, two Chateau of medieval appearance are built which, still today, give to La Napoule its so particular character.

La Festa della Mimosa

Capitale mondiale della mimosa, importata dall’Australia verso i primi anni ’30 da botanici inglesi, vede l’espandersi di questa magnifica pianta su intere colline e sotto gli speroni rocciosi dell’Esterel, uno dei luoghi più suggestivi ed incontaminati della riviera. Questo angolo nascosto, caratterizzato da alture rocciose di colore rosso che ricordano vagamente i canyon americani, è testimone ogni anno di un vero miracolo naturale.

In Febbraio infatti, i grandi spazi verdi di questa zona, si tingono del giallo acceso delle mimose, rendendo l’escursione dentro la foresta, un’esperienza davvero entusiasmante. In questo periodo di fioritura della pianta simbolo del sole d’inverno, è celebrata la Festa della Mimosa che affonda le sue radici nel lontano 1931. Durante questa festa Mandelieu-La Napoule si tinge del giallo luminoso delle “La Fête du Mimosa” e del folklore locale, facendo di questo centro un luogo incantato e difficile da dimenticare.

Posizionamento

Posizionata a qualche chilometro da Cannes in direzione Var, Mandelieu-La Napoule viene costantemente baciata dalle onde del mare che grazie alla protezione del golfo, arrivano innocue e lente facendo del suo porto, una vera attrazione per coloro che posseggono un’imbarcazione.

Манделье – Ля-Напуль - французская коммуна в департаменте Приморские Альпы в регионе Прованс - Альпы - Лазурный берег, которая располагается вблизи Канн. Кремневые приспособления из эпохи неолита были найдены Мистером Поль де Кэй в районе Сэнт-Убер, в Теуле. Дорога между Манделье – Ля Напуль и Фрежюсом носит имя «Золотой карниз». Эта дорога является одним из самых красивых пейзажей Лазурного берега. Она обязана своим появлением мэру Теуля Людовику Гизе, который предложил в 1899 году открыть дорогу под названием «Новый карниз из Сен-Рафаэль в Канны». В 1891 году в Манделье – Ля Напуль открылся первый гольф-клуб. Город носит статус города парусного спорта. Здесь представлен широкий спектр водных развлечений: прогулки на яхтах, катерах, круизы, кайт серфинг, дайвинг, школа парусного спорта. В Мандалье - Ля Напуль проводятся мастер-классы французской кухни в «Atelier de cuisine de L’Oasis».

Фестиваль мимозы

Фестиваль мимозы организуется ежегодно в феврале. Праздник длится 10 дней. Основными достопримечательностями праздника являются лодки и телеги, которые украшены цветами. После вечернего открытия у часовни «Notre Dame des Mimosa» и избрания королевы Мимозы, улицы центра города заполняются телегами с цветами и днем, и ночью. Примерно на протяжении двух часов телеги, полностью украшенные мимозами, устраивают парады под разнообразные музыкальные аккомпанементы. Дети и взрослые играют в битвы цветов. По субботним вечерам идут представления сказочных шоу, организованных разными труппами артистов. Для проведения фестиваля мимозы используется 12 тонн цветов.

Замок Манделье Ля Напуль (Château de La Napoule)

Замок был построен берегу моря в 1387 году графами Вильнев. История этой старинной крепости Ля Напуль наполнена самыми разными событиями: нашествиями, грабежами, войнами и другими революциями. Этот наполовину разрушенный замок был куплен Генри Клювс (Henry Clews), американским миллионером, художником и скульптором в 1917 году. С его женой Мэрри они воздвигли замок из руин. Были возведены две башни, а также посажены прекрасные сады, благодаря которым замок превратился в изумительное место фантазий. Выгравированная на фронтоне надпись «много лет тому назад» («once upon a time») предвещает погружение в мир иллюзии, где объединяются искусство, юмор и фантазия создателей замка. Генри посвятил себя архитектуре замка, а Мэрри - его жена - создала дизайн садов. Она обладала таким талантом, что даже сегодня эти сады завоевывают почитание посетителей и, более того, сады получили титул «jardin remarquable», что в переводе с французского языка означает «выдающиеся сады». Молодые художники со всего мира приезжают в замок на протяжении всего года в поиске источников вдохновения, любования пейзажами, новых творческих идей. Выставки, концерты, многочисленные события регулярно проводятся в замке. «Ночи в замке» (Nuits du château) – очень известное мероприятие, которое проводится в замке Манделье Ля Напуль.
