Storia di Roquebrune Cap Martin

I primi indoeuropei ad occupare queste terre, furono i Liguri che, come in tantissimi altri luoghi delle Alpi Marittime, lasciarono segni del loro passaggio, costruendo veri capolavori architettonici. La vicinanza a Nike (antico nome greco di Nizza) ed ai suoi commerci, rese Roquebrune, meta di interessi generali: faceva parte della rete delle vie romane, Longobardi, Saraceni, conquistatori, pirati o semplici avventurieri, facevano capo a Roquebrune per proteggersi o nascondersi da scorribande corsare. Miracolosamente scansata dalla tremenda peste del XV secolo, vanta di essere stata un vero punto di luce “divina” in mezzo al buio della Peste Nera, che in quegli anni, decimò tutta Europa.

Contesa nel medioevo tra Genova, Ventimiglia, i conti di Tende e di Beuil, dal Regno di Sardegna, dalla Francia e continuamente afflitta da attacchi barbareschi, entra a far parte nel XVII secolo, del regno che sarà chiamato Principato di Monaco, e solo tra il 1848 e il 1860 si renderà libera, entrando a far parte dello stato francese.

Posizionamento

Dalla cima della torre dello splendido castello, lo sguardo si tuffa in un panorama da favola, arrivando a “toccare” Monte Carlo ed il Cap Martin. La vicinanza al Principato è tale, da non distinguerne i confini.

Достопримечательности Рокебрюн Кап-Мартен

• Руины римского постоялого двора.
• Замок Кондара Первого Вентимильского. Замок был построен в 970 году Конрадом Первым, графом Вентимильи, с целью защиты западных границ феодальных владений, а также с целью защиты от Сарацинской орды. В XV веке династия Гримальди увеличивает военную мощность замка.
• Тысячелетнее оливковое дерево. Дерево посажено римлянами в IV веке, находится поблизости с часовней Паузы. Диаметр дерева около 10 метров.
• Часовня Паузы (Chapelle de la Pausa). Часовня построена в XV веке по просьбе одного из жителей города во время эпидемии чумы 1467 года. Внутри часовни Вы сможете полюбоваться фресками.
• Церковь Святой Маргариты. Старинная церковь, построенная в XIII веке. Постройка была увеличена в XV веке, а в XVII веке в церкви была произведена реконструкция. Внутри церкви есть две ценные иконы: Распятие и Оплакивание Христа. В левой части церкви находится копия полотна «Страшный суд» Микеланджело, уменьшенного в 54 раза. Эта церковь является частью знаменитого течения «Путь барокко».
• Вилла «Е 1027». Вилла выполнена известным ирландским дизайнером Эилин Грэй (Eileen Gray). Данная вилла является примером современной архитектуры. Мебель виллы очень искусно подобрана. К сожалению, на данный момент вилла закрыта для посещения.
