St Donat Golf Club

Golf Country Club de Saint Donat is an 18 holes, par 71, wooded golf course of 6031 metres (6595 yards), set in the heart of the French Riviera, between Cannes and Grasse. The golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr and the Beneditti Group, who made good use of the vegetation and topography, while contouring the flatter areas to great effect.

There is a small river meandering through the course and comes into play on six or seven holes. There are other hazards in the form of a number of bunkers and groups of trees, often strategically situated close to the varied greens. The course requires management and intelligent club selection. After numerous rounds it does get alot easier, provided one resists the temptation to become too complacent.

With the front nine being rather flat and the back becoming more hilly, it is still a very easy walk.
