Monte Carlo Golf Club

An 18 holes par 71 course of 5679 metres (6210 yards), designed by Willie Park Jnr and opened in 1911.

Golf de Monte-Carlo, is actually situated in La Turbie (France), overlooking the Principality of Monaco down below, rather than being in it. At 900 odd metres above sea level, it offers some breathtaking views over the French and Italian Rivieras.

The course itselfs is very hilly, with some radical changes in elevation, posing a few challenging blind shots. The rolling fairways tend to be narrow at times, asking for accuracy. The greens are fast and true. The long gradual climb to the clubhouse, begins as early as the 15th, but the entire way provides brilliant sea and mountain views, to offset the fatigue on this last stretch. The course is in immaculate condition from: tee to fairway to green.

The clubhouse is elegant, with the local members and staff providing a warm friendly ambiance. So don't be put off by the 'rich and famous' association. It is well worth a try!
