The golden age of the French Riviera captured by Slim Aarons

The beaches of St Tropez, the azure pools of Monaco and the speedboats flying full speed in front of Eden Roc are just a few of the ingredients that give the South of France its magic, captured in the latest Louis Vuitton Fashion Eye book, "French Riviera", gathering some of Slim Aaron's finest works.

In its latest city guide, veritable bibles for seasoned sun-seekers, Louis Vuitton has unveiled a beautiful collection of some of Slim Aarons's best works. The American photographer immortalized the bronzed bodies that peppered the beaches between 1960 and 1980, living proof of the golden era of the French Riviera. The period was defined by new found sexual liberation, the economic boom and a carefree jet-set with their sights set on unashamed hedonism. From the private clubs, to the dream villas of the Mediterranean, these photographs are sure to stir your inner travel bug.
